Bluestem Brands Photoshoot
Bluestem Brands wanted fresh, authentic photography to strengthen their corporate site and better reflect the people behind the work. I led the creative direction for a series of on-site and remote portraits that showcased real employees, capturing headshots, collaborative moments, work-from-home setups, and the everyday culture that defines the organization. The goal was to create ownable, on-brand imagery that felt approachable, inclusive, and true to how teams show up across the company.
SCOPE
I partnered closely with our photographer to plan and execute a full-day shoot across multiple office locations. This included scouting interior spaces for lighting, composition, and narrative fit; mapping out shot lists for culture, collaboration, and individual profiles; and styling each scene to maintain brand consistency.
On set, I directed employees, many with no prior camera experience, to ensure each moment felt natural yet visually intentional. I also art-directed remote setups to mirror the same level of polish and cohesion. The final library delivered a versatile mix of portraits, team interactions, and environmental details for web and LinkedIn use.
IMPACT
The resulting imagery elevated Bluestem’s corporate storytelling with a unified visual language centered on real people. The photos enhanced credibility across the careers site, improved representation of a hybrid work culture, and provided employees with professional headshots for LinkedIn and internal communications. The library became an ongoing asset for HR, recruiting, and brand teams, strengthening authenticity and visual consistency across touchpoints.
